Audition notice (May 2024)


The English Comedy Club will be performing Andrew Bovall’s family drama, Things I Know To Be True in December 2024, directed by Leslie Holden.

The story follows Bob, Fran, and their four adult children as they face challenges and uncover long-held secrets. Each character struggles with their own desires and identity, making the story both relatable and gripping.

As the play progresses, tensions rise, relationships are tested, and truths are revealed. Through its exploration of themes such as love, loyalty, and authenticity, Things I Know To Be True offers a poignant and unfiltered look into the complexities of modern family life.

The play features six challenging and substantial roles for the cast. It will be set in the south of England, and while English accents are preferred for the children, the parents' accents can be flexible.

  • Fran - 50s/early 60s
  • Pip - 30s
  • Mark – 20s/early 30s
  • Ben - 20s
  • Rosie – late teens/early 20s

Auditions will take place at the Warehouse Studio Theatre, Rue Waelhem 69, 1030 Schaerbeek.
